Terms & Conditions for Gati Booking Packers and Movers

1. Booking & Confirmation
All bookings for Gati Booking Packers and Movers services are subject to availability and become confirmed only upon receipt of a 10% advance payment and signed service agreement. Our commitment to transparency begins at the very first step of your relocation journey.
- Inspection Requirement: A mandatory physical or virtual inspection is required for all relocation services to provide an accurate and detailed quote. This ensures no surprises on moving day.
- Quote Validity: All quotes are valid for 15 days from the date of issue. We understand plans can change, so we offer this window for you to make an informed decision.
- Changes to Volume: If the actual volume of goods exceeds the estimated volume by more than 15%, Gati Booking Packers and Movers reserves the right to revise the final price accordingly to cover the additional labor and resources required.
- Service Confirmation: Services are officially confirmed only after receipt of the advance payment and a signed agreement. Verbal or email confirmations are not binding.
2. Payment Terms
Gati Booking Movers and Packers operates on a transparent pricing model with absolutely no hidden charges. We believe in honesty and clear communication regarding your financial commitment.
- Advance Payment: A 10% advance payment of the total quoted amount is required to secure your booking date and confirm the service.
- Balance Payment: The remaining 90% of the total amount is due on the day of service completion, before unloading begins at your destination.
- Payment Methods: We accept cash, bank transfer, UPI, and credit/debit cards (a 2% processing fee applies to card transactions).
- Price Changes: The quoted price is fixed and will not change unless there are significant, unforeseen changes to the scope of work or additional services are requested by the customer.
3. Cancellation Policy
Cancellation of confirmed bookings is subject to the following charges, designed to cover our incurred costs and lost opportunity:
- More than 72 hours before move date: Full refund of advance payment, minus a nominal ₹500 administrative fee.
- Between 24-72 hours before move date: 50% of the advance payment is forfeited.
- Less than 24 hours before move date: The full advance payment is non-refundable.
- On move day (no-show): The full quoted amount becomes payable as liquidated damages.
Note: In the event of a customer-initiated cancellation, Gati Booking Packers and Movers will make every reasonable effort to reassign the crew to another customer to minimize any financial loss.
4. Liability & Insurance
Your peace of mind is our priority. Gati Booking provides comprehensive transit insurance for all customer belongings as standard.
- Standard Coverage: All goods are covered under transit insurance up to ₹10,00,000 (Ten Lakhs) at no additional cost to you.
- Enhanced Coverage: For high-value items like art, antiques, or expensive electronics, customers may opt for enhanced coverage up to ₹50,00,000 (Fifty Lakhs) for an additional premium of 0.5% of the declared value.
- Claims Process: All claims must be reported within 24 hours of delivery. Required documentation includes original purchase invoices, clear photos of the damage, and a completed claim form.
- Exclusions: Insurance does not cover cash, jewelry, documents, or electronics not declared and packed by our team.
- Valuation: Claims are settled based on the current market value of the item, not its replacement cost.
5. Packing & Handling
We use professional packing techniques and premium materials to ensure the safety of your belongings throughout the move.
- All packing is performed by our trained and certified professionals using industry-standard materials.
- Furniture is carefully wrapped in protective blankets and secured with stretch wrap to prevent scratches.
- Fragile items are individually wrapped in bubble wrap and packed in specialized, reinforced boxes.
- Electronics are packed in their original boxes when available, using anti-static materials to prevent damage.
- Customers may choose partial packing services, but items packed by the customer are not covered under our insurance policy.
- Disassembly and reassembly of furniture is included in all our relocation packages at no extra charge.
6. Moving Day
To ensure a smooth and efficient moving day, customers are required to adhere to the following guidelines:
- Availability: At least one responsible adult must be present throughout the entire process, from packing to final unloading.
- Access: Clear and unobstructed access to both the origin and destination properties must be ensured. Any necessary permissions (e.g., elevator booking, society NOC) are the customer's responsibility.
- Utilities: Water and electricity must be available at both locations for the comfort and safety of our crew.
- Special Items: Customers must declare high-value items (art, antiques, safes) in advance to ensure proper handling and insurance coverage.
- Delivery Window: While we strive to meet the scheduled time, please allow a 2-hour window due to potential traffic and other unforeseen variables.
- Unloading: Unloading will proceed as per the customer's specific instructions. Gati Booking Movers and Packers is not responsible for placement decisions made by the customer.
7. Storage Services
Our secure, climate-controlled storage facilities are designed to protect your belongings for both short and long-term needs.
- Storage charges are billed monthly in advance.
- The minimum storage period is 15 days.
- Access to stored goods is available by prior appointment only during business hours (9 AM - 6 PM, Monday to Saturday).
- Our standard transit insurance coverage continues uninterrupted during the storage period.
- After 30 days of non-payment, stored goods become the property of Gati Booking Packers and Movers and may be disposed of as deemed appropriate.
- Perishable items, hazardous materials, and illegal goods are strictly prohibited in our storage facilities.
8. Force Majeure
Gati Booking Movers and Packers shall not be held liable for failure to perform services due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including:
- Natural disasters (floods, earthquakes, storms)
- Government actions, regulations, or strikes
- War, terrorism, or civil unrest
- Pandemics or major health emergencies
- Major traffic disruptions or road closures
- Utility failures affecting access to properties
In such exceptional circumstances, Gati Booking Packers and Movers will make every reasonable effort to reschedule your services at the earliest possible opportunity. Any advance payments will be fully applied to the new date.
9. Dispute Resolution
We are committed to resolving any disputes amicably and fairly through the following process:
- Initial Complaint: All complaints must be submitted in writing via email to booking@gatibooking.in within 7 days of service completion.
- Internal Review: Gati Booking Movers and packers will acknowledge receipt of your complaint within 24 hours and provide a formal resolution within 7 working days.
- Mediation: If the issue remains unresolved, both parties agree to engage in mediation through the Bangalore Chamber of Commerce before pursuing any legal action.
- Documentation: All communications and evidence related to the dispute must be properly documented and preserved by both parties.
10. Governing Law
These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any legal action arising from our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bangalore, Karnataka.
This document represents the entire agreement between Gati Booking Packers and Movers and the customer, superseding all prior discussions, representations, or agreements.
Gati Booking Movers and Packers reserves the right to modify these terms with 30 days' prior notice. Continued use of our services after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
